PURPOSE: A charging system is provided to achieve improved use convenience by performing battery charging operation and data transmission to be performed at the same time without using an additional connector or interface cable. CONSTITUTION: A charging system(5) comprises a charging circuit unit(4) for charging a battery of a mobile communication terminal by applying charging current to the battery; a power supply unit(7) for supplying the power applied through a plug socket(6) of a power line to the charging system; a power line modem(8) for converting the signal output from the mobile communication terminal into data suitable for power line communication, or converting the signal received through a power line network into a mobile communication data signal; and a control unit(9) for controlling function of the charging system including the power line modem.
