PURPOSE: A toner container and an image forming apparatus are provided to improve toner transfer performance and toner mixing performance and prevent a toner from being conglomerated while transferred. CONSTITUTION: A toner container(1) is set in a main assembly of an image forming apparatus by a user in a direction parallel with the direction of the length of the body of the container. The toner container has a hollowed cylindrical shape(1A). The free end of the cylindrical body defines an opening(1a) for discharging a toner to the image forming apparatus. A sealing member(2) for sealing the opening is press-fitted into the opening. The sealing member is slid in the axial direction of the toner body to automatically open and close the opening. The toner container has a supply member(3) that divides the inside of the toner container into two parts, and a plurality of protrusions(3a). The protrusions makes the toner be transferred to the opening according to rotation of the toner container in one direction.
