A high frequency module (MHF) for a source of welding or cutting current comprises an electric circuit incorporating several semiconductors (T1, T2), at least one condenser block (BC) and some means for controlling the semiconductors. Independent claims are also included for: (a) a source of welding or cutting current, such as a generator, incorporating this high frequency module; (b) a method for arc welding or cutting using this high frequency module.
