<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out communication by a remote monitoring and diagnosing computer or system by using a data format stored in a database. <P>SOLUTION: A remotely monitored first device transfers information. A second device for remotely monitoring the first device receives the information transferred from the first device, and thereafter searches the database to decide the data format of the transferred information. Then, the second device analyzes the information transferred from the first device by using the decided data format.
