<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a power loss of a transformer and to reduce the size and increase the efficiency thereof by reducing a loss in a high-frequency region of 500 kHz or above of an MnZn ferrite having a large saturation magnetic flux density which is used in the transformer. <P>SOLUTION: The MnZn-based ferrite contains iron oxide, zinc oxide, and manganese oxide as main components and strontium oxide, calcium oxide, and silicon oxide as accessory components. When the main components are converted into Fe<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, ZnO, and MnO respectively and the accessory components are converted into SrO, CaO, and SiO<SB>2</SB>respectively, the contents (mass ratio) of the accessory components are 5-175ppm for SrO, 200-3,500ppm for CaO, and 50-400ppm for SiO<SB>2</SB>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
