PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bead plate for a metal gasket in which the surface pressure to be applied to each bead is equalized and cracks or the like hardly occur, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: A wave-shaped bead is made as element beads #1, #2, and #3 from the left side (the side nearer to through-holes). And, a plate thickness of a part except a corrugated bead part is made as t. And, the position of a trough is made as the same position as the part except the corrugated bead part as shown by an alternate long and short dash line in the figure. That is to say, the corrugated bead is formed into a shape that a peak part is raised from a stable part. The plate thickness of the top part and the bottom part of the wave-shaped bead part is made almost same as the thickness of the t at the stable part also in the corrugated bead part. However, the thickness at an inclined part is made thinner than the stable part. It is made as t<SB>1</SB>, t<SB>2</SB>and t<SB>3</SB>in the element beads #1, #2 and #3 as respectively shown in the figure. Here, it is made as t<SB>1</SB><t<SB>2</SB><t<SB>3</SB>in the figure 2.
