PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a four-cycle internal combustion engine having a breather system preventing inconvenience, even if operation is carried out in a tilting position and the like, about the four-cycle internal combustion engine used for a hand-carry type working machine. SOLUTION: The four-cycle internal combustion engine 2 comprise a communicating passage P extending from a crank chamber 4 to an air cleaner 11 through a valve gear chamber 8 and through a breather chamber 10 formed on a downstream side of the valve gear chamber 8, for separating oil components and gas components in blow-by gas, sending the blow-by gas in the crank chamber 4 to the air cleaner 11 by positive pressure in the crank chamber 4, and recirculating the blow-by gas to a combustion chamber. In the communicating passage P, a orifice 26 is provided near a downstream side of an outlet of the breather chamber 10. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
