<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to view a display image on a monitor screen with a sense similar to the one directly viewed by human eyes even in the case of displaying an image imaged by an on-vehicle wide angle camera on the monitor screen. <P>SOLUTION: This driving support device is provided with: the on-vehicle camera 2, an image composition and conversion means 3 which performs conversion processing of a photographed image by the on-vehicle camera 2 so that ratio of distance between parallel lines adjacent in the vehicle traveling direction drawn at equal intervals on a road surface becomes prescribed ratio between 90% and 100%; and a display means 4 which displays the photographed image by the on-vehicle camera 2 to which the conversion processing is performed by the image composition and conversion means 3 on the screen. Thus, an actual motion of a vehicle coincides with a motion of the vehicle on the screen and an illusion felt from the display image disappears. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
