PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underwater camera the color reproducibility of which is close to a true natural color development for eliminating the need for image process in a post-processing and providing simple operations. SOLUTION: The underwater camera is provided with: a water depth information reception means 12; a range finding means 14 for measuring a distance between the camera and an object; a numerical expression and other information storage means 16 for storing a numerical expression and an optical absorption coefficient required for correcting color absorption of each color; and a color absorption correction execution means 11 for executing the color absorption correction of each color on the basis of water depth information from the water depth information reception means 12, distance information from the range finding means 14, and the numerical expression and the optical absorption coefficient from the numerical expression and other information storage means 16.
