PURPOSE: A spread spectrum clock generator is provided to simply construct the circuit thereof as well as to allow the spread spectrum clock generator to control the transmission delay below several tens ps. CONSTITUTION: A spread spectrum clock generator includes a plurality of delay cells(2). Each of the delay cells(2) is provided with at least one delay block(5a¯5d) and at least one controller(4a¯4d). Each of the delay blocks(5a¯5d) delays the clock signal supplied from the outside by a predetermined time. And, each of the controllers(4a¯4d) controls the delay blocks(5a¯5d) so as to change the delay values in response to the change of the control signal by outputting the control signal to the delay blocks(5a¯5d).
