SULFATE GROUP-TRANSFERASE, POLYPEPTIDE OF THE SAME AND DNA ENCODING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new sulfate group-transferase, a polypeptide of the same and a DNA encoding the same.

SOLUTION: This polypeptide containing an amino acid sequence consisting of amino acid number 37-346 in a specific amino acid sequence (shown in specification), or a sulfate group-transferase having a polypeptide consisting of an amino acid sequence having the substitution, loss, insertion or transfer of one or in a plurality of amino acids in the polypeptide and having an activity of transferring a sulfate group to a glycosaminoglycan which is a sulfate group receptor from a sulfate group donor, the polypeptide of the same and the DNA encoding the same are provided. The method for producing the glycosaminoglycan including a structure expressed by formula 1 is also provided.
