<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bulb-shaped fluorescent lamp capable of improving luminous flux build-up characteristics with a simple structure, even when amalgam for controlling a mercury vapor pressure is enclosed. <P>SOLUTION: An arc tube projecting part is protruded toward the base side and a temperature whereat a mercury vapor pressure to maximize emission efficiency is obtained can be given to a part of it. As a result, in comparison with the conventional case in which amalgam having a low mercury vapor pressure, luminous flux build-up characteristics right after lighting are enhanced, and lowering of emission efficiency during lighting can be suppressed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
