<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotating machine for a vehicle which abolishes a protective coating material of a capacitor element and which can maintain high reliability. <P>SOLUTION: An AC generator for the vehicle includes a regulator 9 for regulating a voltage, the capacitor element 15 for absorbing a surge generated by a voltage regulating operation of the regulator 9, and a containing part 12 for containing the capacitor element 15. The containing part 12 has an opening 13 at one end side. Grooves 14a and 14b extended from this opening 13 are formed on facing two inner wall surfaces. A sealing resin 17 is filled in a gap formed between the inner wall surface of the containing part 12 and an outer peripheral surface of the capacitor element 15 by inserting the element side terminals 15a and 15b of the capacitor element 15 into the grooves 14a and 14b, respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
