PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display method and an emphasis method for display data, suitable for a display screen, for facilitating the viewing of the x-y display screen having sparse data display density, in an ultrasonic search device of the system in which the direction of a reflection body is detected from the phase difference between receive signals of a plurality of receive elements. SOLUTION: The ultrasonic search device includes a transmission part having a transmission element for transmitting an ultrasonic signal, a receive part having the plurality of receive elements for receiving the reflection wave of the transmitted ultrasonic signal by the body and for outputting the receive signals, a direction detection part for detecting the direction of the body, from the arrangement of the plurality of receive elements and the phase difference between the receive signals outputted from respective receive elements, a distance/reflection intensity detection part for processing the distance and the reflection intensity of the body, from the emergence time and the amplitudes of the receive signals, and a display processing part for preparing a display figure for displaying the body in a specified position in a two-dimensional screen defined by the distance and the direction, by processing the direction, the distance, and the reflection intensity of the detected signals. The display processing part includes a lithographic means for preparing the display figure for the properties such as a color that is different according to the reflection intensity, the shape, and the dimension.
