PURPOSE: An airbag inflater with variable pressure is provided to adjust the pressure of gas supplied to an airbag according to the condition of a vehicle crash. CONSTITUTION: A variable pressure valve is installed at one side of an airbag inflater, and regulates the pressure of gas supplied to an airbag according to the control of an airbag control unit. The variable pressure valve includes a valve case(21) mounted to a gas discharge port of the airbag inflater, a valve nozzle(22) movably disposed in the valve case, a solenoid(23) having a permanent magnet(23-1) and a coil(23-2), a return spring(24) moving the valve nozzle down and shutting off the gas supplied to the airbag, and a case cover(25). The solenoid moves the valve nozzle up, and supplies the gas to the airbag. |
