摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of a measurement error resulting from a sound velocity difference caused by ununiformity of gas between the inside of a socket part 1f and the inside of a measuring pipe 1e or from being influenced by a transmission/reception wave by condensation water, when ultrasonic transducers 2a, 2b are stored respectively on a pair of socket parts 1f connected to the measuring pipe 1e wherein measuring object fluid flows, and an ultrasonic pulse is transmitted/received in the fluid by using the pair of ultrasonic transducers 2a, 2b, and an ultrasonic propagation time is detected in the forward direction and in the reverse direction of the fluid flow, to thereby operate the flow rate of the fluid. SOLUTION: An ultrasonic propagation route of the pair of ultrasonic transducers 2a, 2b is arranged horizontally. A ceiling part of the socket part 1f has a lower structure than the height of a ceiling part of the measuring pipe 1e, to thereby communicate both parts for gas ventilation. A bottom part of the socket part 1f has a higher structure than the height of a bottom part of the measuring pipe 1e, to thereby communicate both parts for condensation water discharge.
