PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool holder which is quickly and accurately attached and detached to a slide of a lathe. SOLUTION: This tool holder 19 freely attached and detached to and from a freely movable slide 7 in the lathe is provided with a plurality of tool mounting parts 27, 20 disposed at suitable spaces in the moving direction of the slide 7. A plurality of coolant injecting parts 41 for injecting coolant to tools mounted on the tool mounting parts 27, 29, respectively are provided as to correspond to the respective tool mounting parts 27, 29. A positioned part is provided to be freely engaged and disengaged with and from a positioning part provided on the slide 7. The tool holder 19 is formed by a combination of a base plate 21 for adjusting the tool core height and a holder block 23 for holding a tool. The positioning part provided on the slide 7 is a positioning block 47 where a T-groove 13 in the direction of X-axis where a positioning key 45 mounted on the tool holder 19 is freely engaged and the side of the tool holder 19 freely abut.
