PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera which does not cause out of focus even when a bright interchangeable lens manufactured for a film type camera is attached and detects a focusing position at high speed, and a camera system including the digital camera and the interchangeable lens which can be attached to the digital camera. SOLUTION: When the diaphragm of a lens is brighter than a specified diaphragm, the rough focusing position is detected at high speed by a phase difference detection system, and the focusing position is accurately detected by a contrast detection system in the neighboring area of the rough focusing position.
