PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment method and a developer liquid which does not cause decrease in the developing characteristics with time or due to repeated use, or aggregation or sedimentation of an eluted photosensitive layer composition, which produces no developing scum, which does not contaminate a treatment tank, and which does not deposit on a plate material to produce dirt. SOLUTION: A lithographic printing plate having a photosensitive layer containing at least a monomer having an ethylenically unsaturated bond, a photopolymerization initiator and a polymer binder, formed on the surface of an aluminum supporting body is imagewisely exposed; and then developed with an aqueous solution of 8.5 to 13 pH containing at least an inorganic alkali agent, a nonionic surfactant expressed by a compound (A): HO(C<SB>2</SB>H<SB>4</SB>O)<SB>a</SB>(C<SB>3</SB>H<SB>6</SB>O)<SB>b</SB>(C<SB>2</SB>H<SB>4</SB>O)<SB>c</SB>H, wherein a, b, c are integers of 1 to 10,000, and an anionic surfactant.
