PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk cartridge for securing a long shutter stroke despite its compact form, and equipped with a simply structured shutter. SOLUTION: An opening 24 for bringing the recording/reproducing head 27 of a driving device close to the surface of a disk 23 is provided near the corner of a housing 22, and this opening 24 is opened/closed with a slide type shutter 25.
