PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver salt photothermographic dry imaging material capable of suppressing an increase of fogging even after a prolonged retention period. SOLUTION: The silver salt photothermographic dry imaging material contains, in an undercoat layer, a polymeric latex obtained by emulsion polymerization in the presence of a surfactant having an amido group, such as a polyoxyalkylene-N-alkylamidoalkanol represented by formula (1) or a mixture of such polyoxyalkylene-N-alkylamidoalkanols, or a surfactant having a nitrile group, such as a surfactant having a nitrile group represented by formula (5). As a result, the silver salt photothermographic dry imaging material is free of lowering of sensitivity and can suppress an increase of fogging even after a prolonged retention period.
