PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the flexibility of a remote control receiver or the like of a remote control system for a shutter, a door, or the like. SOLUTION: The non-opening/closing body side communication device for instructing the operation of an opening/closing body by transmitting a prescribed communication signal to communicate with the opening/closing body side communication device, is provided with an existing operating switch having a predefined function corresponding to a specification, and a function changing switch for changing the function of the existing operating switch by operation. The functions before the change or after the change of the existing operating switch are a password input function for inputting a preregistered password and an operation instructing function for the opening/closing body corresponding to the password. It is also preferable that the functions after the change or before the change are an object opening/closing body selecting function for selecting the opening/closing body to be instructed out of a plurality of opening/closing bodies, and an operation instructing function for the opening/closing body corresponding to the selection.
