REPROCESSED POWDERED CALCIUM HAVING HIGH SOLUBILITY AND PRODUCTION THEREOF

PURPOSE: A method of making reprocessed powdered calcium by dissolving calcium carbonate in a solvent containing vinegar and then spray-drying is provided. The reprocessed calcium has high solubility as compared to unreprocessed calcium and is thus enhanced in the gastrointestinal absorption rate. CONSTITUTION: A mixture of 17.50 to 20.00%(w/v) of calcium carbonate and 6.7 to 7.8%(w/v) of dextrose is dissolved in a solvent, based on the total weight of the solvent, homogenized and then spray-dried. The solvent comprises 97.14%(w/w) of apple vinegar having a total acidity of 6.6, 0.2%(w/w) of phosphate, 0.15%(w/w) of lactic acid, 0.01%(w/w) of citric acid, 1.2%(w/w) of kelp extract and 1.3%(w/w) of malt extract. The above mixing ratio reduces foam generation caused by CO2 generation during the dissolution process to improve the working efficiency.
