PURPOSE: A Y-branch optical waveguide by using an offset is provided to operate at a broad bandwidth by minimizing the loss due to the mode mismatch effect generated at a short wavelength bandwidth by applying the offset. CONSTITUTION: A Y-branch optical waveguide by using an offset includes a tapered optical waveguide(322) and a first and a second output optical waveguides(332,336). The tapered optical waveguide(322) becomes gradually wide along the central line, takes a shape overlapped two arc curve optical waveguides of each having a first radius and is provided with one input terminal and two output terminals. And, the first and the second output optical waveguides(332,336) extend from a corresponding output terminal of the tapered optical waveguide along a second radius and give a predetermined offset so as to separate the optical axis from the optical axis of the tapered optical waveguide(322).
