FIELD: restoration of photographic plates-daguerreotypes, silver or silver-plated copper plates. SUBSTANCE: described process of restoration of daguerreotypes includes mechanical cleaning of inverse side and faces of plate to undamaged body of plate, removal of products of mechanical machining followed by intermediate drying in air, degreasing of plate, intermediate drying at enhanced temperature with subsequent treatment in cleansing solution (containing, mass parts: thiocarbamide 60.0-80.0, 85% orthophosphoric acid 60.0-90.0, nonionogenic wetting agent photoflo 1.0-5.0; distilled water up to 1000.0), rinsing in water, then in acetone, drying at enhanced temperature and plate framing. EFFECT: restored quality of visual recognition of photographic image and of qualitative index of surface of daguerreotypes. 10 cl |
