PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem wherein an excess reactivity is increased in a reactor core of a nuclear reactor having an increased average enrichment of initially loaded fuel in order to enhance remarkably economy by increasing a discharged burnup to use the fuel effectively, and to control the excess reactivity within a proper range. SOLUTION: In this reactor core split concentrically into two radial-directionally to make the number of fuel assemblies included in respective regions substantially equal, in the nuclear reactor loaded with initially loaded fuel assemblies in the first cycle, and loaded with replaced fuel assemblies in the second cycle, the third cycle or thereafter, the initially loaded fuel assemblies arranged in a peripheral area of the reactor core in the first cycle are arranged to get large in a reactor core inside area compared with the peripheral area of the reactor core in the second cycle.
