<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seal structure of a fuel cell in which incorporation work of a thin rubber packing is unnecessary and the sealing performance is completely assured. <P>SOLUTION: A rubber-containing coating agent is spread on the surface of the peripheral part of a separator to form a non-cross-linked rubber film. The non-cross-linked rubber film is vulcanized or cross-linked by radiation to prepare a separator for fuel cell having a cross-linked rubber layer. The separator for fuel cells are provided on both sides of the fuel cell's body to construct a fuel cell having high sealing performance. Using the separator for fuel cell utilizing radiation cross-linking prevents the performance of the fuel cell from being obstructed by the content of rubber packing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
