<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat pump type water heater for boiling hot water securely under a strong upwind condition. <P>SOLUTION: The heat pump type water heater includes a heat pump cycle 22 which connects an air heat exchanger 21 having a refrigerant compressor 18, a water refrigerant heat exchanger 19, an expansion valve 20, and an outdoor fan 25 circularly with a refrigerant pipe, and a hot water tank 7 for storing hot water. The hot water tank 7 and a hot water flow passage 26 of the water refrigerant heat exchanger 19 are connected by a heating circulating circuit 15 provided with a circulation pump 27. The heat pump type water heater is provided with a heating control part 28 for controlling the circulation pump 27, the expansion valve 20, the outdoor fan 25, and the refrigerant compressor 18. When the outdoor fan 25 detects upwind beyond a predetermine value at a start time of operation or during the operation, the heating control part 28 continues boiling operation and only the outdoor fan 25 is made in a free run state. Thereby, the hot water can be boiled securely at a time of the upwind by actively utilizing the upwind for heat exchange. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
