PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas leak alarm capable of easily and speedily performing an operation test without costs. SOLUTION: The alarm comprises a power source monitoring circuit 12 for monitoring on and off of a power source, a count memory circuit 13 for counting the number of times in every time when the power source is detected as turned on by the power source monitoring circuit 12, and a quasi test signal generating circuit 14 for generating and outputting a quasi test signal after starting a test mode when the count memory circuit 13 counts the predetermined number of times. The alarm further comprises a signal processing unit 11 for activating alarm means when a gas detection signal outputted from a gas detecting circuit 10 exceeds a predetermined alarm level or when the quasi test signal is received, and a reset circuit 18 for resetting the number of times of the count memory circuit 13 at the time when a predetermined time elapses from the on time of the power source after the count memory circuit 13 starts to count the number of times, or at the time when the test mode is started during the predetermined period.
