PURPOSE: A driving device of a top rotating body for a car washer is provided to minimize flaw by washing the vehicle with contacting the top rotating body to the washed vehicle under constant pressure with lifting the top rotating body according to turning angle through a proximal sensor and a sensor arm, and to adjust the lifting time of the top rotating body by regulating the installation gap of the proximal sensor. CONSTITUTION: A top rotating body driving device comprises a top rotating body placed over a washed vehicle; a driving motor(305) rotating the top rotating body; a couple of turning frames(340,370) supporting both ends of the top rotating body; a detecting unit detecting the turning angle of the turning frames contacting the washed vehicle; a lift motor rotating and reversing according to signals from the detecting unit and moving up and down the top rotating body; and a guide unit guiding lifting of the top rotating body.
