<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biodegradable bag-shaped article which is degradable in nature, consistently heat-sealed, and capable of obtaining excellent heat-sealing power. <P>SOLUTION: The bag-shaped article is formed of a non-woven textile with compound fibers consisting of poly-lactic acid polymer (Component A) and a blend (Component B) of poly-lactic acid polymer and biodegradable aliphatic-aromatic copolymer polyester. The article is bag-shaped because it has a heat-seal portion. The polymer to constitute compound fibers satisfies the melting characteristics: (1) that the melting point of the poly-lactic polymer used in Component A and Component B is≥150°C, and (2) the melting point of the biodegradable aliphatic-aromatic copolymer polyester is lower than the melting point of Component A by 50°C or more. At least a part of the fiber surface of the compound fibers is formed of Component B, and the compound fibers are adhered by the molten or softened Component B. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
