PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record data to be deleted in a storage medium prior to elimination of stored data and return them in a form easy to use/arrange in a system for storing photographic data tane by a digital camera. SOLUTION: An image forming device has an image database 12 for accumulating and storing photographic image data 100. The device further accepts the photographic data taken by the digital camera from a customer, stores them in the image database 12 to be accessible from the customer, and determines whether the storage period of the photographic image data 100 accumulated and stored in the image database 12 is ended or not.
