PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic retaining device for a tool which is usable without anxiety, while exhibiting strong magnetic force and certainly retaining parts. SOLUTION: In the magnetic retaining device 10 for a tool for magnetically retaining the parts using a rare earth magnet, a neodymium magnet 11 is used as the rare earth magnet. The neodymium magnet 11 is a ring-like shape for receiving the tools or the parts a surface of the magnet is sealingly closed by covers 12, 17.
