PURPOSE: A vertical strip threading apparatus is provided to increase productivity and protect workers from strip having high brittleness by promptly recovering the fractured strip if strip is fractured in the process of vertically moving the strip. CONSTITUTION: The vertical strip threading apparatus comprises a belt coiling part(10) positioned an upper part of deflector roll(3) and equipped with belt rotation shaft(12) for winding and fixing belt(11) and first driving motor(13) installed at one end of the belt rotation shaft to reciprocate the belt between the deflector roll and guide roll(2); a strip clamping part(20) comprising a plural upper grip rolls continuously installed along a length direction of the belt from an end of the belt, and a plural eccentricity grip rolls rotated by curved guide so that a gap between the eccentricity grip rolls and the upper grip rolls is varied, wherein the top end of strip (S) advanced into between the eccentricity grip rolls and the upper grip rolls is close adhesively fixed; and a strip releasing part comprising a plural touch rolls installed between the belt rotation shaft and the deflector roll in such a way that the touch rolls are contacted with the curved guide, wherein the curved guide is rotated by rotary power of the touch rolls to separate the strip fixed between the upper grip rolls and lower grip rolls, wherein a strip guidance part(30) is installed between the belt rotation shaft and the deflector roll and comprises sliding table(31), guide roll and sliding guide roll, and wherein a strip close adherence part(50) is installed on an upper part of the deflector roll and comprises pinch roll(51), second cylinders(52) and second driving motor(53).
