NOTEBOOK COMPUTER AND CONTROLLING METHOD OF THE SAME

PURPOSE: A notebook computer and a controlling method of the same are provided to save power consumption by checking a probability for connecting to a service network before booting an OS(Operating System) in a state that system power is turned off. CONSTITUTION: A button(16) selects the display of the probability for connecting to the service network. A BIOS(Basic Input Output System) memory(18) stores a network connection routine for judging the connection probability base on a wireless signal received through a wireless LAN card(12). A microcomputer(20) executes the network connection routine by supplying the power to a display part(14), the wireless LAN card, and the BIOS memory depending on the selection the connection probability display in the state that the power is turned off, and makes the display part display the connection probability.
