PURPOSE: A system for processing a spam SMS(Short Message Service) message and a method therefor are provided to confirm a calling subscriber number and message contents and block the spam message according to the intention of a user. CONSTITUTION: An HLR(Home Location Register) server(15) registers information according to respective subscribers for indicating whether a recipient applies for a reception rejection service, and manages the registered information. A SMSC(SMS Center) server(16) confirms whether the recipient of a SMS message is an applicant for the reception rejection service through the HLR server(15). If the recipient of the SMS message is the applicant for the reception rejection service, the SMSC server(16) transmits the SMS message to a spam processing server(17). The spam processing server(17) receives a reception rejection list from the recipient, and registers and manages the reception rejection list. If the SMS message is received from the SMSC server(16), the spam processing server(17) compares the received SMS message with the reception rejection list of the recipient. If the SMS message does not correspond to the reception rejection list, the spam processing server(17) transmits the SMS message to the terminal of the recipient(11) through the SMSC server(16). |
