Liquid, e.g. water enters through a first inlet (1) and passes through a valve (3). Air (4) is admitted to the water line downstream of the valve and the mixture passes to a pump (2) which raises the pressure to 4-5 bar. The mixture is introduced into a bypass line (7) for a mixing pump (6) with a high flow rate and a low rise in pressure. Water-air mixture with very fine bubbles is drawn off from an outlet (8) in the bypass line, upstream of the water-air inlet and passes through a control valve (5) to the flotation plant (9). |
