The process involves cutting the boat shape out of a rectangular blank (1) of flexible material such as metal, e.g. steel or aluminium, plywood or synthetic material. The boat shape includes convex sides (2a,2b) symmetrical about a central longitudinal axis, a triangular front cut-out and two tapered rear cut-outs. The rear cut-outs allow the two sides to be folded upwards to form the sides of the boat, while the front cut-out allows the sides (6a,6b) to some together to form the bow of the boat. An Independent claim is included for a boat formed from a folded sheet using the above process.
