PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for processing image signals of a dual monitor are provided to display a desired image on a monitor in which power is turned on although the power of one monitor among a plurality of monitors is turned off. CONSTITUTION: A user interface(100) inputs a request command of a user. The first monitor unit(300) senses a power state according to the request command inputted through the user interface(100), and displays the first image signal. The second monitor unit(400) senses a power state according to the request command inputted through the user interface(100), and displays the second image signal. A PC unit(200) controls the first monitor unit(300) and the second monitor unit(400) for grasping the power states of the first and second monitor units(300,400) according to the request command inputted through the user interface(100) and selectively outputting the first and second image signals to the first and second monitor units(300,400) according to the power states of the first and second monitor units(300,400).
