<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper curl suppression method by which the suppression of a curl in a recorded paper is ensured in an ink jet recording process for imaging in an aqueous ink, and a recording device. <P>SOLUTION: In the ink jet recording process for imaging using the fly liquid droplet of the aqueous ink to the surface of a paper-based recording medium, the method for suppressing the curl of the recorded paper is to supply an alcoholic solution to the paper prior to recording it in the ink, then set the paper in a substantially dry state at a recording position and record the image using the ink. In this case, the alcoholic solution is selected from the group of organic compounds: an ethanol, an ethanol solution of a 5-8C saturated aliphatic diol and an ethanol solution of a 6C saturated aliphatic triol. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
