PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner which inhibits the degradation in image density after leaving under high-temperature and high-humidity environments and the degradation in image density by a charge-up phenomenon when printing is performed at a low modulus of printing and which has excellent fixability and anti-hot-offsetting property and inhibits the occurrence of an end offset. SOLUTION: The toner contains a binder resin consisting of at least a polyester resin as a main component, wax and coloring matter. Further, the methanol concentrations at transmittance 80% and 10% when the wettability of the toner with a solvent mixture composed of methanol and water is measured at the transmittance of light of a wavelength 780 nm are respectively 45 to 65 vol% and the MI(Melt Index) of the toner at 125°C and under 5 kg load is 0.1 to 10 g/10 min. The toner contains a THF(Tetrahydrofuran)-insoluble content at 5 to 40 mass% of the binder resin and has a main peak in a region of a molecular weight 3,000 to 20,000 in GPC(Gel Permeation Chromatography) of the THF-soluble content of the toner. In addition, the ratio of the components of a molecular weight≤10,000 in the THF-soluble content is specified to≥50 mass%. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
