PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic camera realizing recording and reproduction of the moving picture with presence by proposing a new utilization form of GPS information at photographing of a moving picture. SOLUTION: A GPS unit 32 mounted on the camera 10 receives an information radio wave from a GPS satellite during photographing of a moving picture to acquire position information of a photographer (that is, the camera 10). A CPU 12 calculates a moving velocity and a moving direction of the camera 10 on the basis of a plurality of position information items acquired at a prescribed time interval. An image signal processing circuit 50 composes mobile information obtained in this way with photographed image data. An image display apparatus 24 displays the image data with the mobile information attached to them and records the data on a recording medium 30.
