<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically set a playing key of a Karaoke device by using a simple procedure without depending on a personal card and a personal remote controller. <P>SOLUTION: A vocal range measuring mode is provided to measure the range of voice of a user. In this mode, singing voice of the user from a microphone is analyzed and a range of voice discrimination code, in which the range of voice of the user corresponds to a range of voice discrimination model is displayed on the screen of a display 34 to notify the code to the user. When the device receives a request of a music with the code from a remote controller 14 and an operation panel 18 being operated by the user, main melody pitch extent information of the music is obtained prior to the playing of the music. Then, a playing key is set for an easy singing of the user by referring to the obtained main melody pitch extent and the range of voice of the user based on the code. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
