<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner wherein a front panel formed as an integral upper and lower structure is composed so that it is fixed to an indicator attached to a base from a front side of a body, and screw for fixing the front panel is covered by a front decorative plate facing the indicator. <P>SOLUTION: The front panel 11 comprised by integrally forming an upper part panel 11a provided with a suction opening 9 and a lower part panel 11b provided with a blowout opening 10 and a display hole is attached to a front part of the base 1 composing the body. The indicator 4 facing the display hole is provided with a screw hole for screwing the screw passed through an insertion hole provided on the front panel 11. A locking pawl fixing the indicator 4 and provided on the front decorative plate 6 facing the indicator hole and allowing transmission of operation information by the indicator 4 is detachably locked in a locking hole provided on the lower part panel 11b.
