PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control valve capable of providing stable control characteristics in opening/closing action of the valve. SOLUTION: A recessed part 17a of a reverse cone shape with a V-shaped cross section is formed on an end surface of an operation rod 17 abutted with a ball valve element 16 and the ball valve element 16 is abutted on the operation rod 17 in the circular line contact state. Thereby, when the ball valve element 16 is urged to a direction leaving from a valve seat 11c by a plunger 23 of a solenoid part 20, the ball valve element 16 is straight pushed up without falling out of the recessed part 17a even if the ball valve element 16 receives a lateral load from a spring 15.
