PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a software license management method that does not limit a used terminal to a single particular terminal and can contribute to appropriate use of software when supplying software based on a principle of one license per user.

SOLUTION: The software license management method which permits use of software 2 provided in advance with first license information, includes a step of receiving software identification information about the software 2 and user identification information from a cellular telephone 8 capable of data communication with a used terminal (PC) 6 with the software 2, a step of transmitting to the cellular telephone 8 second license information for permitting use of the software 2 when combined with the first license information, and a step of supplying the second license information from the cellular telephone 8 to the used terminal 6.
