PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To supply solution to a micro nozzle. SOLUTION: The liquid ejector comprises a micro nozzle 51 ejecting a liquid drop to a basic material having a surface for receiving an ejected liquid drop, a means 53 for supplying solution into the nozzle 51, a means 35 for applying an ejection voltage to the solution in the nozzle, and a means 40 for sucking the solution in the nozzle. The solution supplying means 53 comprises a storage section 61 of solution, a supply line 63 coupling the storage section and the nozzle, and an opening/closing valve 62 provided in the way of the supply line. The solution sucking means 40 comprises a suction pump 41, a body 42 attachable to the nozzle externally, a tube 43 for coupling the pump and the attachable body, and a transfer valve 44 provided in the way of the coupling tube and switching connection and interruption between the pump and the attachable body.
