A machine for levelling and surfacing concrete composition laid out to form floors or sub-bases, comprises a central, flat-faced, rotary working member 6 and a plurality of further working members 7 extending radially from the central working member, each further working member having a single operating surface that is transversely oblique to bring the portion 19 of its surface bordering its trailing edge substantially into the plane of the flat face of the central working member along at least the innermost portion of that edge when the machine rests on the surface to be worked, the remainder of that surface being at a higher level than that plane. Each further working member is mounted for angular movement on a shaft 11 capable of turning in a bearing 12 attached to the upper face of the member 6. Each member 7 is biased in the required transversely oblique position by a spring 16 connected between the upper surface of member 6 and the outer end of an arm 13 attached to the shaft 11. The radial dimensions of the member 6 and the members 7 are preferably approximately equal. |
