<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable to make a carbon fiber 107 grow well at low temperatures, and make the carbon fiber 107 grow at such a density as to impose more effectively an electric field necessary for electron emission, without necessitating a high temperature process to make the carbon fiber 107 grow or a high temperature alloying process on a substrate 101, in a manufacturing method of an electron emitter having a process to make the carbon fiber 107 grow by using a catalyst. <P>SOLUTION: An alloy particle 106 composed of at least one alloying element selected from Pd, Fe, Co, Ni, Y, Rh, Pt, La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, and Lu is made the catalyst, a dispersion liquid of the alloy particle 106 is coated on the substrate 101 and the alloy particle 106 is installed, and the carbon fiber 107 is made to grow up. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
