PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator type parking device capable of dispensing with installation of a special elevator for carrying refuse in a building to be installed adjacent to it. SOLUTION: This elevator type parking device is provided with a parking tower 10 installed adjacent to the building 100 having a plurality of stories, an elevator 3 for carrying a vehicle arranged in the parking tower 10, parking shelves 8 arranged at a plurality of steps along a hoistway of the elevator, a refuse shelf 19 arranged in the parking tower 10, a dust chute 13 for transferring refuse onto the refuse shelf 19 from the building 100, and a container 20 with a self-running carrier 21 for carrying refuse onto the elevator 3 from the refuse shelf 19.
